SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the campus principal, the CTE Director/Counselor will support Dual Enrollment Registration, CTE program class scheduling and course requests, help facilitate the CTE PLC with the CTE teaching staff, coordinate CTE Field Trips/Events, and assist in CTSO Staff Monitoring/Supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide career counseling to students in individual or group setting
- Serve as a resource for student educational planning, career, and life skills decision-making
- Liaison between Bisbee High School, Cochise Technology District, and Cochise College Early Start
- Coordinate Friday CTE
- Host fairs, hiring events, and field trips
- Assist military, college, and trade school contacts with communication with our students
- Schedule presentations with military, college, and trade school representatives
- Schedule, coordinate and Proctor Technical Skills Assessment
- Coordinate CTE Internships
- Attend state and regional meetings
- Support school CTSOs
- Serve as Cochise College/CTED Liaison
- Facilitate participation of students in CTE classes and the CTED programs to include dual enrollment.
- Facilitation of CTE Advisory Council
- Identify and navigate professional development opportunities for CTE instructors
- Work with administration/staff to gather data to report mid-year and end-of-grant goals within grant guidelines.
- Involve business and industry as well other stakeholders in CTE program improvement.
- Provide vision/support for development of current programs and expanding potential programs.
- Work with admin and staff to facilitate all State required CTE reporting.
- Survey past graduates who have completed two years of study to assess their employment and or post high school enrollment.
- Validate/facilitate expenditures for each CTE program.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of data usage, including collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Ability to do perform multiple administrative functions simultaneously

- Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies
- Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Education & Experience:
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, with preference to CTE Certification
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- At least three years of teaching experience, with preference to experience in a CTE classroom
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that meets minimum requirements
- Computer Proficiency: Demonstrated general proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Suite, Google for Education, and job specific computer programs.
EVALUATION:
Evaluated annually by campus principal or designee based on student support services, counseling effectiveness, compliance with program requirements, and collaboration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor school environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with students, staff, external agencies and the public.
