Qualifications:
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
- Associate’s (or higher) degree
Or
- Two years (60 semester-hour credits) of study at an institution of higher education
Or
- Arizona Department of Education approved Academic Assessment Test
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Proof of Immunization against Rubeola* & Rubella Measles
*If you were born prior to January 1, 1957 you shall be considered to be immune to Rubeola measles
- Knowledge of instructional methods and techniques
- Ability to work with students, teachers, and parents
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Possess computer skills to accomplish required job duties
- Act as a highly confidential employee
- Ability to keep information confidential
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- In accordance with teacher guidelines assist individual students and groups of students in performing their assignments
- Assist teacher in the planning, developing, and monitoring of instructional lessons and school activities
- Prepare supplies and materials needed for lessons
- Assist students with special projects
- Monitor student behavior
- Maintain records and files for teacher
- Perform clerical functions
- Other duties as assigned by teacher or principal
